Trearc Brands, Inc. is a US-based commercial furniture manufacturer producing custom-configured seating and upholstered products. Each order combines multiple components, fabric grades, foam options, and finish materials, with production and LTL freight driven by those configurations.
Trearc’s operating model required an ERP capable of unifying sales, configuration, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, invoicing, and finance, without the customization burden accumulated on its previous platform.
Standard Odoo supported only one vendor at the product template level, forcing manual overrides on POs for variants sourced from different suppliers.
Operational dates and material readiness flags were not natively tracked, forcing constant tab-switching during order entry and limiting visibility on Sales Order list views.
Standard Odoo didn’t propagate post-confirmation changes, leaving production and delivery teams with outdated commitments and manual cross-checking.
Standard Odoo PDFs didn’t reflect Trearc's layouts, surface commercial reference fields in the right positions, or bundle carrier document sets in a single print action.
Product label printing, invoice creation, posting, and customer communication were all manual after each delivery, consuming time and introducing inconsistency.
Finance had no rolling cash flow view and procurement had no multi-week demand forecast tied to confirmed orders, making both teams unplanned.

Migration Strategy
Trearc was migrating from a heavily customized Odoo v11 Enterprise environment where prior customization had made upgrades costly and slow. The Odoo 18 implementation was scoped from day one with future migration in mind.
The result is a Trearc-fit Odoo 18 environment with a substantially smaller customization footprint than the v11 system it replaced, positioning Trearc for lower-cost upgrades in future release cycles.
