Expected Features of Odoo 14

 

The Odoo 14 version is now released!

Following the record of releasing a new version every year of Odoo, this year it’s time to unveil the new version of Odoo ERP i.e. Version 14. We are always eager to know what Odoo might come up with its next version right?

Having attended the Odoo Experience event back in 2019 we all encountered the roadmap to Odoo 14. In case you missed it, here are the area of enhancements that would be focused on in version 14:

• Save more time while operating/processing documents like sales orders or stock transfers.
• Cross-App Integration to add more efficiency if a user wishes to integrate with e-commerce, rental, or email apps.
• Changes in framework to improve performance while enabling smoother development.
• Smart Warnings across all apps.

Animate your Conversations:

Now with the new version release, users would be able to include emojis along with text characters to make the conversation more live and chattier. You can see its example in below-attached screenshot:

Product Catalogue Widget:

In Odoo 14 you might be able to see a product catalog widget on the website module. Users can edit the details as per the requirement in the ready-made template and can easily publish them on the website.

Pricelist Printing from the Products list:

Odoo 14 provides an option for users to print a pricelist with respective currency from the product list itself. Users can select the products from Master Data in the List view and move further for report generation.

Snippet Tools to Make Your Website Look Cool

Chart Snippet:

Odoo is going to provide new snippet tools and one of them is Chart Snippet. It would display your data in chart forms on the website.

Countdown Widget:

Now, users can avail of a countdown widget to increase/manage their product sales/ traffic in your e-commerce business.

Reconciliation Widget:

It might move to the enterprise version!

Auto pop-up:

Now, users will be able to avail a quick view of offers and promotions to the customers.

New Data Cleaning Module:

Odoo will make sure to remove duplicate data to reduce data redundancy.

Studio App:

Quickly create models in Studio to help users with predefined fields.

POS:

The POS Coupon and Promotion Program will be possibly moved to the Odoo14 community edition. Also, we could expect new promotions and loyalty program options.
